Welcome to our website!
By the community for the community. That’s the spirit and ethos of this annual event and the basis by which residents, local businesses and people from local clubs and charities come together to bring it to life.
The Festival’s primary aim is to put on an event for all the community which brings people together for a Festival of fun, leisure, sports and entertainment, then distribute any operating surplus to local causes.
After all the expenses are paid the Committee meets at the end of the year to distribute surplus funds, often with a strong bias towards local groups and charities that have provided the most support in staging the event. In 2015 the weekend surplus, excluding earnings made by stall holders raising money for their own causes came in at a fraction under £17000.
After a successful six years of consecutive festival events the committee have taken the decision to focus on a revised festival event in 2019. Meanwhile we are excited to be working towards a variety performance competition!
